Kazakh National Guard Delegation Visits Azerbaijan to Boost Cooperation on Public Order Management

A delegation from Kazakhstan’s National Guard, part of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, visited Baku to learn from Azerbaijani counterparts about public order management.

Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs and Commander-in-Chief of the National Guard Ansagan Baltabekov led the delegation, meeting with Azerbaijani Minister of Internal Affairs, Colonel General Vilayat Eyvazov, to discuss strengthening and expanding cooperation in public order, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh Interior Ministry.

Baltabekov also met with Lieutenant General Shahin Mammadov, Commander of Azerbaijan’s Internal Troops.

The delegation was briefed on the work of Azerbaijan’s Main Departments of the Internal Troops, the Department for Combating Organized Crime, and the Department for Public Security. Baltabekov stressed the importance of exchanging experiences and best practices in maintaining public safety.

Lieutenant General Mammadov expressed his readiness to deepen cooperation with Kazakhstan to enhance operational and service capabilities.

During the visit, Kazakh representatives toured a military unit responsible for public order in Baku, viewing the weapons and equipment used by Azerbaijan’s Internal Troops. They also visited the Military Institute of the Internal Troops, which has been training cadets since 2014 and produces career officers for Azerbaijan’s law enforcement.

“The sides exchanged views on officer training, teaching methodologies, and discussed prospects for cooperation between the law enforcement training institutions of the two countries,” the ministry noted.
