President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has arrived at the Palace of the Nation in Dushanbe to attend the Summit of the Council of Heads of State of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).
President Tokayev was welcomed by Tajikistan’s President Emomali Rahmon upon his arrival. The two leaders exchanged greetings ahead of the summit’s opening session, The Caspian Post informs via Kazakh media.
The Kazakh president is in Tajikistan for an official visit from October 9 to 10. During his stay, he is expected to engage in a series of high-level meetings focused on advancing regional cooperation, economic integration, and security collaboration among CIS member countries.
The CIS Summit brings together leaders from across the region to discuss strategic partnerships and joint initiatives in various sectors.
