Kazakh President Arrives in Kyrgyzstan for High-Level Meetings

President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has arrived in Kyrgyzstan on an official visit.

His agenda for today includes talks with President Sadyr Japarov as well as a series of other events, The Caspian Post reports via Kyrgyz media.

Prior to the official welcoming ceremony, President Tokayev visited the Ata-Beyit Memorial Complex, accompanied by Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Adylbek Kasymaliev. The Kazakh leader laid a wreath at the memorial honoring the victims of the tragic events of 1916 and paid tribute at the monument to Kyrgyz renowned writer Chingiz Aytmatov.
