The Third Kazakhstan-Kyrgyzstan Youth Forum took place in Bishkek ahead of Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev’s official visit to Kyrgyzstan.
The event gathered more than 300 young participants, including IT entrepreneurs, programmers, startup founders, digital artists, bloggers, poets, performers, and media creators, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.
Its primary goal was to unlock the digital potential of youth, foster Kazakhstan-Kyrgyzstan cooperation, and establish sustainable formats of collaboration in the IT and creative industries, drawing on the two nations’ shared cultural and spiritual heritage.
Kazakh Minister of Culture and Information Aida Balayeva noted that the forum has become an influential platform for addressing key youth policy challenges. She emphasized that this year’s edition opens up fresh opportunities for partnership and new initiatives, particularly in the fields of the creative economy, innovation, and digitalization-areas that resonate strongly with young people and inspire the launch of new joint projects that strengthen bilateral ties.
Kyrgyz Minister of Culture, Information, and Youth Policy Mirbek Mambetaliyev highlighted that the forum plays an important role in reinforcing friendship and cooperation between the youth of Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan, while also creating favorable conditions for future joint activities.
In the run-up to President Tokayev’s visit, Bishkek also hosted a screening of the documentary Shokan Ualikhanov: The Bright Star of History.
