Kazakh President Supports Peace Talks on Ukraine Conflict

At the Forum marking the International Year of Peace and Trust, the International Day of Neutrality, and Turkmenistan’s 30th Neutrality Anniversary, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev expressed Kazakhstan’s support for intensifying negotiations to resolve the Ukraine conflict.

He also backed Turkmenistan’s proposal to establish a United Nations University of Peace and Neutrality, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.

Tokayev highlighted that following the recent Russia-US meeting in Anchorage, key provisions of a potential peace agreement are actively being discussed, signaling hope for long-awaited peace.
