Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has arrived in Kyzylorda for a working trip.
During the visit, the president is set to tour a range of industrial, infrastructure, and social facilities, highlighting the government’s focus on regional development and modernization, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.
During his working trip to the Kyzylorda region, President Tokayev toured the Syr Zhuldyzdary Creative and Innovative Academy, which was commissioned in May 2025.
The academy, designed to nurture the intellectual and creative potential of local youth, features a swimming pool, gyms, creative studios, and laboratories.
Since 2022, the region has opened schoolchildren’s palaces and art schools in Zhanakorgan, Zhalagash, and Shieli districts. In 2024, a modern Palace of Schoolchildren was inaugurated in Kyzylorda city, while construction of a Competency Center for vocational education is currently underway. Additionally, a new children’s recreation camp and a winter garden are being built in the Presidential Park.
During the visit, President Tokayev also inspected the new terminal of Korkyt Ata International Airport and received a report from Governor Nurlybek Nalibayev on Kyzylorda’s socio-economic development.
