The ceremony featured a Guard of Honor lined up in the grand Ceremonial Hall, with the Presidential Orchestra performing the national anthems of both countries, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.

Tokayev and Pashinyan then walked together along the blue carpet toward the State Flag of Kazakhstan before proceeding to a narrow-format meeting.

During his stay in Astana, the Armenian prime minister is expected to hold talks on key areas of bilateral cooperation.

Earlier, on November 20, Kazakh Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov welcomed Pashinyan upon his arrival at the Astana International Airport.
