Kazakh President, Armenian PM Hold High-Level Talks in Astana

Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan have held official talks at the Akorda Palace in Astana.

The meeting underscored the growing momentum in Kazakhstan-Armenia relations, The Caspian Post informs via Kazakh media.

President Tokayev called the Armenian prime minister’s visit highly significant, expressing confidence that it would give a strong boost to the strategic partnership between the two countries. He noted that cooperation has been steadily expanding and that Pashinyan’s visit marks an important step forward.

Pashinyan thanked Tokayev for the invitation and the warm reception, emphasizing that the visit would further strengthen bilateral ties. He recalled President Tokayev’s official visit to Armenia last year, which opened a new chapter in relations. Several key agreements signed during that visit have already been implemented, while others are currently underway.

Earlier in the day, Pashinyan arrived at the Akorda Palace after being welcomed at the Astana International Airport on November 20 by Kazakhstan’s Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov.

During his stay in Astana, the Armenian prime minister is expected to continue discussions on key areas of bilateral cooperation and explore new opportunities for partnership across various sectors.
