Kazakh Doctors Deliver Critical Aid in Afghanistan After Powerful Earthquake

Kazakhstan has sent a team of medical specialists to Afghanistan as part of a humanitarian mission following the 6.3-magnitude earthquake that struck on November 3.

Acting on the president’s directive, Kazakhstan dispatched a humanitarian cargo along with a team of experienced doctors last week, The Caspian Post informs via Kazakh media.

The shipment included medicines, surgical tools, bandages, tents, bedding, and other essential supplies from the state reserve.

The mission features specialists skilled in treating severe injuries, polytrauma, and emergency cases. Doctors from the National Scientific Center of Traumatology and Orthopedics named after Academician Batpenov, the National Neurosurgery Center, and the National Coordination Center of Emergency Medicine have arrived to assist Afghan colleagues.

Since their deployment, Kazakh doctors have carried out dozens of consultations, examinations, and surgeries. They are also helping local hospitals plan surgical priorities, reviewing complex cases jointly, and supporting the most critical medical interventions.

Earlier, the information went viral that Kazakhstan sent 13 doctors of various specialties, including surgeons, neurosurgeons, and traumatologists, to support Afghanistan’s medical response efforts.
