Kazakhstan Welcomes Estonia’s President during First-Ever State Visit to Astana

Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has welcomed Estonian President Alar Karis at the Akorda Presidential Palace, marking Karis’ first state visit to Astana.

A Guard of Honor and the Presidential Orchestra greeted the high-ranking guest, with both leaders walking the ceremonial carpet toward Kazakhstan’s national flag. The ceremony was followed by private, narrow-format talks, The Caspian Post informs via Kazakh media.

President Karis leads a delegation of 40 business representatives, along with university rectors and heads of several higher education institutions, highlighting the growing focus on economic and academic cooperation between the two nations.
