Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has held a bilateral meeting with Tajik President Emomali Rahmon to discuss the implementation of high-level agreements and exchange views on key regional and international issues.
The meeting underscored the two leaders’ shared commitment to further strengthening the strategic partnership and alliance between Kazakhstan and Tajikistan, The Caspian Post informs via Kazakh media.
President Tokayev also conveyed his best wishes to President Rahmon for the successful organization of the Central Asia-Russia Summit and the upcoming session of the CIS Heads of State Council.
The visit began with President Tokayev’s arrival in Dushanbe, where he was welcomed at the international airport by Prime Minister of Tajikistan Kohir Rasulzoda. The trip marks a continuation of active diplomatic engagement between the two neighboring nations.
