Kazakh Water Experts Begin Advanced Training in China

The fourth group of Kazakh water industry specialists has begun advanced training courses in China.

Since the start of the year, 125 Kazakh experts in water management have completed training in China. The courses, hosted at PowerChina enterprises, are fully funded by the Chinese side, The Caspian Post informs via Kazakh media.

Kazakhstan and China earlier agreed to expand the program through 2026. Under the plan, 200 more specialists are expected to undergo training next year.

The initiative was launched in line with Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev’s directive to enhance the professional skills of water industry personnel.

In parallel, Kazakhstan and Hungary have introduced a dual master’s degree program in water resources management with a focus on water diplomacy. The country also intends to launch a national water assessment system in 2026.
