Kazakhstan Awaits State Visit from Azerbaijani President

Kazakh Presidential Advisor and Press Secretary Ruslan Zheldibay has stated that the president of Azerbaijan is expected to pay a state visit to Kazakhstan.

Zheldibay noted that the matter was discussed during a recent telephone conversation between the two heads of state, The Caspian Post informs via Kazakh media.

“At present, both sides are coordinating the visit’s dates and agenda,” he wrote on Telegram.

The visit would follow Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev’s state trip to Azerbaijan in November 2024. During that visit, the two leaders signed a series of important agreements that elevated bilateral relations to a strategic partnership and reinforced allied cooperation between the countries.
