Kazakhstan has successfully exported over 15,000 tons of wheat to Vietnam, utilizing railway transit through Chinese territory.
The wheat was transported to Hai Phong Port, passing through the Dostyk and Altynkol border checkpoints, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.
Between May and July 2025, eight trains carrying the cargo departed from the Akmola region’s Azat and Akkol settlements as well as the city of Kokshetau.
Significantly, on June 18, a transit container train loaded with high-quality Kazakh wheat arrived at China’s Lianyungang Port. This shipment was the first dispatched by the Food Contract Corporation via a multimodal transport route.
