From December 15 to 17, most regions of Kazakhstan will be affected by a large cyclone.
The bad weather will bring snow and blizzards across the country, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.
Southern and southeastern areas will see rain, snow, icy roads, and fog in the night and morning hours. Mountainous districts are expected to face blizzards, while gusty winds of 15-20 m/s may intensify to 23-28 m/s nationwide.
Temperature forecasts:
Western regions: Night -10 to -18°C dropping to -3 to -13°C; Day 0-15°C falling to -3 to +5°C
Northern, central, eastern regions: Night -7 to -15°C dropping to -12 to -28°C; Day -5-15°C falling to -8 to -18°C
South and southeast: Night -3 to -11°C falling to -5 to -20°C; Day -5 to +2°C dropping to 1-13°C
Residents are advised to take precautions against icy roads, strong winds, and limited visibility.
