Kazakhstan, China Deepen Ties in Digital Healthcare and AI Medicine

Kazakhstan is stepping up cooperation with China to accelerate the adoption of cutting-edge digital healthcare technologies, following a high-level working visit by a Kazakh medical delegation.

Representatives from the Medical Center of the President’s Affairs Administration explored some of China’s top healthcare institutions, including Ruijin Hospital and Renji Hospital, gaining firsthand insight into advanced clinical practices and hospital management systems, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.

The delegation also attended the CMEF Spring 2026 International Medical Equipment Fair and held talks with Mindray, a global leader in medical devices and healthcare solutions.

A key focus of the visit was China’s rapid progress in digital medicine - including centralized patient monitoring systems, integrated medical data platforms, and the rise of “internet hospitals” that seamlessly connect online and offline care.

Following the meetings, both sides agreed to expand cooperation with Chinese medical and tech companies. Plans include launching joint education programs and internships, as well as introducing advanced technologies into Kazakhstan’s healthcare system.

Priority areas include robotic surgery, digital operating rooms, AI-powered patient monitoring, and automated pharmaceutical logistics. Kazakhstan’s leading medical institutions are expected to gradually adopt these innovations, including the creation of a unified AI-driven medical platform.
