Kazakhstan and China signed a package of 10 agreements during the Kazakhstan-China Investment Forum in Almaty.

The documents were signed in the presence of Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and cover projects in aluminum production, renewable energy, investment financing, automotive manufacturing, fertilizers, infrastructure and other sectors, The Caspian Post reports, citing Qazinform.

The akimat of Abai region signed an agreement with a consortium comprising Xinjiang Sanbao Industrial Group Co., Ltd. and Inner Mongolia Wanjiang Investment Co., Ltd. on the construction of an electrolytic aluminum production plant and an associated wind power station in the region.

The Abai region akimat also signed an agreement with Xinjiang Sanbao Industrial Group Co., Ltd. and Inner Mongolia Wanjiang Investment Co., Ltd. to build a particle board (chipboard) manufacturing plant in Semey.

Samruk-Energy JSC, China Energy Overseas Investment Co., Ltd. and SANY Renewable Energy Co., Ltd. signed an agreement on joint project development.

Kazakh Invest NC JSC and Silk Road Finance Corporation reached an agreement on key terms for establishing a specialized investment fund at the Astana International Financial Centre (AIFC) to finance promising projects in Kazakhstan.
