The judo competitions at the 2025 Asian Youth Games in Manama, Bahrain, have officially concluded, with Kazakhstan’s athletes putting on an impressive performance.
In the men’s +90 kg final, Adilzhan Zhaudinov battled hard but was edged out by Alibek Durdiev of Uzbekistan, earning a silver medal, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.
Meanwhile, in the 90 kg category, Shyngyskhan Tanirbergen faced another Uzbek judoka, Jurabek Yeshpulatov, who claimed victory with a score of 11:0.
Kazakhstan’s female judokas also made their mark, finishing among the top three in their respective divisions.
Azima Serik secured bronze in the 63 kg class after defeating Anudari Enkhtaivan from Mongolia.
Togzhan Tolebay added another bronze in the 70 kg event, triumphing over Piyathida Songchai of Thailand.
Earlier, Aisha Altay, Adilzhan Nurbek, Fatima Supygaliyeva, and Yerken Bekali had already brought home gold medals, highlighting Kazakhstan’s growing strength in youth judo across Asia.
