Kazakhstan, Czech Republic Launch Joint Energy Equipment Production

A new industrial cooperation project between Kazakhstan and the Czech Republic has been officially launched in Astana with the opening of a manufacturing facility for energy-sector equipment.

The new company, ZVVZ-KZ, was established as part of bilateral cooperation between Kazakh and Czech partners, The Caspian Post reports via gov.az.

The opening ceremony was attended by Kazakhstan’s Vice Minister of Energy Sungat Yesimkhanov and Czech Ambassador to Kazakhstan Pavol Šepelak.

The new facility will specialize in the production of gas-cleaning and industrial filtration equipment used in energy and industrial plants.

The project was implemented in line with a memorandum of understanding signed on October 13, 2025 in Prague between Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Energy and Czech engineering company ZVVZ Engineering.

Speaking at the ceremony, Yesimkhanov said the launch marks an important milestone in developing industrial cooperation between the two countries, supporting technology localization, creating new jobs, and strengthening Kazakhstan’s production capacity.

He added that such initiatives align with national goals to modernize domestic industry, introduce advanced technologies, and expand international cooperation in the energy sector.
