Kazakhstan Estimates 480,000-Ton Loss from Attacks

Kazakh Energy Minister Yerlan Akkenzhenov has said that Kazakhstan lost around 480,000 tons of oil production following recent attacks on the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC).

Despite the disruption, he stressed that the country still expects to meet its 2025 production plan, The Caspian Post reports via Russian media.

Akkenzhenov noted that forecasts for 2026 will be lower due to three major repairs scheduled at key fields. “As of today, losses from the latest CPC attack amount to 480,000 tons. Plans for next year are still being finalized, but adjustments are inevitable,” he said.

The minister added that Kazakhstan aims to transport 68 million tons of oil through the CPC next year. “There is no alternative to the CPC. We hoped to pump a record 72 million tons this year, but achieving 68 million tons would already be a good outcome,” he emphasized.
