A suspect wanted for over 10 years on fraud charges has been extradited from Germany to Kazakhstan.
According to investigators, in 2014 the foreign national, acting as part of a coordinated group, deceived a Kazakh entrepreneur under the pretext of supplying computer equipment, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.
The scheme resulted in the unlawful acquisition of $1 million before the suspect disappeared and was placed on an international wanted list.
The suspect was detained in Germany in September 2025 and later extradited to Kazakhstan at the request of the Prosecutor General’s Office.
The charges carry a potential sentence of up to 10 years in prison, along with possible asset confiscation.
