Kazakhstan, LuLu Group Explore Major Agro-Industrial Investments

Kazakh Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov has met with Yusuff Ali Musaliam Veettil Abdul Kader, founder of LuLu Group International, to discuss potential joint investment projects in Kazakhstan’s agro-industrial sector and trade.

During the meeting, Yusuff Ali noted that LuLu Group already imports meat and agricultural products from Kazakhstan and stressed the opportunities for further cooperation, highlighting the country’s favorable investment climate, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.

The discussion focused on the company’s plans to establish a meat processing plant and a distribution center for agricultural products in Kazakhstan.

Premier Bektenov emphasized Kazakhstan’s commitment to supporting such initiatives, in line with President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev’s recent directive to expand projects in deep agricultural processing.

Kazakhstan currently exports agricultural products to over 70 countries and aims to double this number by tripling agricultural productivity. The agro-industrial sector remains a cornerstone of the national economy, with opportunities to expand cooperation in areas such as joint agricultural technoparks, export-oriented logistics hubs, and e-commerce development. “Our country has created all necessary conditions to facilitate these projects,” Bektenov stated.

Following the talks, government agencies were tasked with providing the necessary support to ensure successful implementation of the proposed projects.

Separately, Kazakhstan concluded the recent growing season without any crop losses, highlighting the country’s agricultural resilience and strong production capabilities.
