Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has signed into law the ratification of a bilateral agreement with Armenia concerning the travel and stay of citizens.
The law, titled “On the Ratification of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Republic of Armenia on the Travel and Stay of Citizens,” had earlier received approval from the Senate, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.
Under the agreement, citizens of both Kazakhstan and Armenia are granted equal rights to enter, exit, transit through, and remain in each other’s countries for up to 90 days from the date of border crossing. Furthermore, temporarily residing citizens are exempt from mandatory registration with the host country’s authorities for the first 30 calendar days, facilitating smoother short-term stays.
