An official welcoming ceremony for Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze is underway at the Palace of Independence in Astana, marking the start of his official visit to Kazakhstan.
The visit is expected to include high-level talks with Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov, focusing on strengthening political, economic, and regional cooperation between the two countries, The Caspian Post reports via Kazinform.
The sides are also expected to oversee the signing of a joint declaration on strategic partnership and several bilateral cooperation agreements aimed at expanding ties across key sectors.
