The Kazakh capital of Astana is rapidly expanding its educational infrastructure, with a wave of new schools, kindergartens, and a multifunctional complex under construction.
According to the city’s education department, 14 new schools designed for 43,744 students will open in 2025. Among them are seven “comfortable schools,” four budget-funded projects, and three private institutions, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.
Already, six comfortable schools for 24,000 students opened their doors on September 1, while eight more are expected to be commissioned by the end of this year.
Astana is also preparing to launch two new kindergartens - No. 99 and No. 100 - offering 600 places, both currently in the final stages of preparation.
Meanwhile, construction continues on a multifunctional complex designed for 750 students, with active installation and construction works underway.
Earlier, it was reported that Karaganda Region had completed 51 new healthcare facilities using recovered assets - part of Kazakhstan’s broader push to modernize its social infrastructure.
