Kazakhstan, Serbia Advance Cooperation in Politics, Economy, and Culture

The third round of political consultations between the foreign ministries of Kazakhstan and Serbia has taken place at Kazakhstan’s Foreign Ministry, where officials engaged in comprehensive discussions covering political cooperation, trade and economic relations, as well as cultural and humanitarian ties.

The meeting also included a review of the schedule for bilateral events and visits planned over the coming years, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.

Kazakh Deputy Foreign Minister Arman Issetov highlighted Serbia’s importance as a key political and economic partner in Europe and reaffirmed Kazakhstan’s commitment to expanding both bilateral and multilateral cooperation.

Head of the Serbian delegation, State Secretary of the Foreign Ministry Damjan Jović, described Kazakhstan as a crucial partner for Serbia in Central Asia, noting the successful outcomes of the recent Intergovernmental Commission session in Almaty.

The two sides exchanged views on significant international and regional issues and reaffirmed their shared commitment to close cooperation within multilateral frameworks and international organizations.

Both parties agreed to maintain an active and productive dialogue between their foreign ministries, intensify efforts to strengthen trade, economic, and investment ties, and emphasized the importance of upcoming meetings of the Intergovernmental Commission and the Business Council, alongside further development of the bilateral legal framework.

In a cultural gesture, Kazakh writer Berdibek Sokpakbayev’s book Journey to Childhood was recently presented to the Foundation of the Crown Princess of Serbia, symbolizing the deepening cultural connections between the two countries.
