Kazakhstan, Serbia Step Up Cooperation in Defense, Tech Sectors

Kazakhstan and Serbia are expanding ties in defense and technology following the first Kazakh-Serbian Business Council and Forum.

Key agreements include the repair and modernization of 122mm and 152mm self-propelled artillery systems by Kazakhstan’s SP Kaztechnology and Serbia’s Yugoimport SDPR, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.

Additionally, LLP Great Sky and Yugoimport SDPR signed a framework on high-energy materials production, while Astana Hub inked three cooperation memorandums with Serbia’s Digital Transformation Center, SEE UP Accelerator, and Science Technology Park Belgrade.

Scientific collaboration also advanced as Kazakhstan’s National Biotechnology Center and Serbia’s Bio4 Campus signed a memorandum of understanding, highlighting strengthened innovation and defense partnerships.
