Kazakh Ambassador Zhanna Saginova has met with Tomáš Taraba, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Environment of the Slovak Republic, to discuss the expansion of bilateral cooperation in environmental protection and water resources management.

During the talks, the sides reaffirmed their mutual interest in strengthening Kazakhstan-Slovak cooperation, highlighting the importance of further developing the legal and contractual framework underpinning joint initiatives, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.

Particular attention was given to cooperation on climate change mitigation and adaptation, including the exchange of expertise and best practices.

Saginova handed Taraba an official invitation to attend the Regional Environmental Summit scheduled to take place in Astana on April 22-24. The forum is expected to serve as a key international platform for discussing urgent environmental challenges and shaping coordinated approaches to climate action in Central Asia.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides agreed to further deepen cooperation across the identified priority areas.
