A vibrant new cultural and eco-tourism festival, “LOTUS FEST-2025,” is set to take place in the village of Teniz, located in the Kurmangazy district of western Kazakhstan from July 26 to August 26.
The event has been officially listed in the Kazakhstan Ministry of Tourism and Sports’ calendar of signature tourism events, The Caspian Post reports, citing Kazakh media.
Once largely unknown, the rare lotus flowers blooming in the Kigach River delta have now become a draw for nature enthusiasts and tourists alike, despite the location’s remote access.
A central feature of the month-long festival will be boat rides through lotus-covered waters, offering guests a chance to admire the delicate blooms in their natural habitat.
“This spectacle will leave every visitor with unforgettable memories,” organizers stated.
In addition to the natural beauty, LOTUS FEST-2025 will showcase Kazakh cultural heritage through a wide array of events, including:
Traditional yurt installations
Folk concerts and theatrical performances
Master classes in national crafts
Art exhibitions and local fairs
Kazakh traditional games
