Kazakhstan to Fast-Track Trans-Caspian Transport Route Agreement

Kazakh Transport Minister Nurlan Sauranbayev said that Kazakhstan will soon begin drafting an Intergovernmental Agreement to further develop the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TITR).

Sauranbayev made these remarks at a government meeting, The Caspian Post informs per Kazakh media.

The minister emphasized that the TITR offers a global transit solution combining faster delivery, stable tariffs, and high-quality service. Transit time along the route has been reduced from 53 to 17 days, while tariffs have remained unchanged over the past three years.

Digital technologies have also improved efficiency, cutting declaration processing time from 8 hours to 30 minutes and enabling real-time monitoring of train operations.

Earlier, Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan discussed the development of the Middle Corridor and the digitalization of logistics routes, highlighting regional cooperation to strengthen trade and transport links.
