Kazakh Deputy Foreign Minister Alibek Bakayev has received copies of credentials from newly appointed Indian Ambassador Sailas Thangal, as both sides discussed strengthening bilateral cooperation across political, economic, cultural, and humanitarian spheres.
During the meeting, the two sides underscored the importance of maintaining a regular schedule of high-level visits and coordinating joint efforts to enhance strategic dialogue between Astana and New Delhi, The Caspian Post reports, citing Kazakh media.
Kazakhstan’s Foreign Ministry noted that both diplomats expressed readiness to continue working closely within international and regional frameworks, including the United Nations, the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA), the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO), and the Central Asia-India Dialogue.
Ambassador Thangal conveyed his gratitude for the warm welcome and pledged to make every effort to strengthen the strategic partnership between the two countries during his tenure.
