Kazmortransflot, a subsidiary of KazMunayGas (KMG), boosted container shipping across the Caspian Sea by over 15 per cent in 2025.
The subsidiary showed steady growth in container transport, strengthening Kazakhstan’s transit and transport potential, The Caspian Post reports via Russian media.
On the Aktau-Baku-Aktau feeder line, 59,400 twenty-foot equivalent containers (TEUs) were shipped in 2025, up from 51,400 TEUs in 2024-an increase of more than 15 per cent.
The growth is attributed to rising demand for transit along the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route, reflecting Kazakhstan’s expanding role in regional trade and logistics.
This performance positions Kazmortransflot as a key player in Caspian shipping and regional cargo transport, supporting Kazakhstan’s ambition to become a major Eurasian transit hub.
