A military drone operated by Kazakhstan’s Air Defense Forces has made an emergency landing in the country’s southern region during a routine training mission.
The incident occurred on June 2 in the Talas District of the Jambyl Region while the unmanned aerial vehicle was conducting a scheduled training flight, The Caspian Post reports via Nur.kz.
The drone made an unscheduled landing, but no injuries or property damage were reported. There was no threat to local residents or critical infrastructure.
According to preliminary information, the incident may have been caused by a technical malfunction.
The Ministry of Defense has dispatched a special commission to the site to investigate the circumstances surrounding the emergency landing. Specialists are currently inspecting the area and working to determine the exact cause of the incident.
