More than 2,000 People Were Pardoned in Kazakhstan in Honor of the Constitutional Anniversary

Kazakh authorities have released more than 2,000 people under an amnesty in connection with the 30th anniversary of the republic's constitution, The Caspian Post reported this with reference to the State Penitentiary Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic.

According to the agency, a total of 11,000 convicts were eligible for amnesty.

"Based on the review of materials regarding convicted individuals registered with probation services, 2,888 individuals, including women and minors, were released from punishment, and the sentences of more than 7,600 convicted individuals were reduced," the statement reads.

According to the agency, a comprehensive range of support activities have been organized for those pardoned, including assistance with employment and social, psychological, and counseling support.

Let us recall that the 30th anniversary of the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan was celebrated on August 30, 2025. On the same day, the country's president signed the Amnesty Law.
