Scholarship Program Sends Ten Azerbaijani Students to Top Kazakh Universities

Ten Azerbaijani citizens have been awarded scholarships to study in Kazakhstan for the 2025-2026 academic year under the Intergovernmental Scholarship Program.

The program is being implemented under the Protocol on Amendments to the Agreement on Cooperation in the Field of Education between Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Science and Education and Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Science and Higher Education, signed on April 3, 2017, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.

According to the decision of the Kazakh side, the students will pursue bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral studies at leading universities. Six were admitted to Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, ranked 166th in the QS 2026 World University Rankings; two to L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, ranked 377th; one to Astana International University; and one to the Academy of Physical Culture and Mass Sports.

Among them, two will study at the bachelor’s level, seven at the master’s level, and one at the doctoral level. Their fields of study include economics and management, humanities and social sciences, and technical and technological disciplines. The scholarship program was officially announced on March 18.

The announcement also noted that in 2026 Kazakhstan will allocate 60 university grants for Kyrgyz students.
