Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has praised the Washington agreements between Azerbaijan and Armenia, saying they open broad opportunities for comprehensive cooperation in the South Caucasus and beyond.
President Tokayev made these remarks at the International Peace and Trust Forum in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan, The Caspian Post reprots via local media.
“Historically significant is the signing of the joint peace declaration by Azerbaijan and Armenia, which creates wide prospects for multifaceted cooperation in the region and beyond. We hope for the swift conclusion of a full-fledged peace treaty ensuring stability in the South Caucasus,” Tokayev said.
The Kazakh leader expressed hope that Baku and Yerevan will soon sign the final peace agreement.
