Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan Strengthen Urban Development Cooperation

Azerbaijan is inviting Kyrgyzstan to take an active role in the upcoming 13th World Urban Forum (WUF13) in Baku in 2026, highlighting growing cooperation in urban development and architecture.

Anar Guliyev, Chairman of Azerbaijan’s State Committee on Urban Planning and Architecture, made the invitation during a meeting with Maksat Mamytkanov, Kyrgyzstan’s Ambassador to Azerbaijan, The Caspian Post reports via Azerbaijan’s State Committee for Urban Planning and Architecture.

The discussion focused on strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan, as well as opportunities to expand collaboration in urban planning, architecture, and construction projects.

Guliyev also emphasized Kyrgyzstan’s support in the reconstruction of Karabakh and East Zangezur, noting that it is highly valued by Azerbaijan. He highlighted the recent opening of a school in Khidirli village, Aghdam district, as a visible example of this support and expressed confidence that future joint projects between the two nations will continue growing successfully.
