The Industry Ministry of Belarus plans to deepen cooperation with Kyrgyzstan, as stated by Industry Minister Aleksandr Yefimov during his meeting with Erbol Sultanbaev, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to Belarus, according to the press service of the Industry Ministry.
The talks took place at the Industry Ministry and focused on possible joint projects and initiatives in the manufacturing sector, The Caspian Post reports citing BelTA.
The parties reviewed the state and prospects of bilateral cooperation and explored the possibility to implement joint projects, like joint assembly of Belarusian machinery and attachments. Aleksandr Yefimov expressed readiness to create joint full-cycle production of highly localized products with a full range of maintenance services, which will increase the competitiveness of Belarus' and Kyrgyzstan's products in international markets.

Kyrgyzstan's participation in the largest industry exhibitions in Belarus - Belagro and INNOPROM. Belarus - were discussed separately. Aleksandr Yefimov promised to provide all possible assistance to Kyrgyz enterprises if they decide to take part in them. “We see great opportunities to ramp up our cooperation in the industrial sector and are determined to make the most of cooperation opportunities,” he added. The ambassador of Kyrgyzstan, for his part, told the minister about the activities of the bilateral working group on industry, expressed interest in intensifying bilateral interaction and noted that Kyrgyzstan is ready to consider proposals for mutually beneficial joint projects. The parties agreed to continue the dialogue and hold regular meetings to discuss specific steps to boost trade and economic cooperation.
