A dramatic incident in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, has gone viral after a reckless driver dragged a police officer on the hood of his car while trying to escape.

The driver had violated traffic rules and attempted to flee when stopped by inspectors. During the confrontation, he hit one of the officers, who ended up clinging to the hood as the vehicle sped off, The Caspian Post reports via Kyrgyz media.

The escape was short-lived - police officers quickly apprehended the suspect.

Police have launched a criminal case under the article “Hooliganism,” and the man has been placed in a temporary detention facility.
