Kyrgyzstan’s Defense Ministry is closely monitoring conditions in the mountains as it prepares for rescue operations on Victory Peak and Khan Tengri.
Rescue teams are continuing efforts to evacuate injured climbers and recover the bodies of those who have died, The Caspian Post informs per Kyrgyz media.
The ministry stressed that both search-and-rescue and evacuation procedures remain active despite challenging conditions.
Teams are working to safely lower the injured and transport the deceased to base camps.
Russian climber Natalia Nagovitsina has been stranded on Victory Peak for seven days following a leg fracture, surviving without food at an altitude of 7,000 meters while awaiting assistance.
