Kyrgyz President Approves Qatar-Funded Expansion of Bishkek Hospital

Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov has signed the law ratifying the Grant Agreement with the Government of Qatar to finance the construction of an additional building at the Bishkek Clinical Emergency Hospital.

The law was adopted by the Jogorku Kenesh on September 25, 2025, following the signing of the grant agreement in Bishkek on April 10, 2025, The Caspian Post reports via Kyrgyz media.

The $9.24 million grant will cover all project phases, including construction, procurement of medical equipment, and other necessary resources, aiming to expand patient capacity and enhance the quality of healthcare services in the hospital.
