Kyrgyz President Joins Global Leaders at UN General Assembly

President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov has taken part in the official opening of the general debates of the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.

President Japarov was welcomed by UN Secretary-General António Guterres during a ceremonial reception at UN Headquarters ahead of the high-level debates, The Caspian Post informs via Kyrgyz media.

This year's session marks a significant milestone for the United Nations, with participation from leaders and delegations representing 195 countries. The session opened under the theme “Better Together”, highlighting the urgent need for collective action to advance peace, sustainable development, and human rights.

The 80th session comes at a time of growing global uncertainty, and its anniversary theme emphasizes the importance of strengthening multilateralism and reinforcing global solidarity in the face of complex international challenges.

President Japarov’s participation reflects Kyrgyzstan’s ongoing commitment to international cooperation and constructive dialogue on global issues, including climate change, security, and sustainable economic growth.
