During Vladimir Putin’s state visit to Kyrgyzstan, President Sadyr Japarov and the Russian leader paid tribute to the fallen at Bishkek’s Victory Square.

The two heads of state laid wreaths at the Eternal Flame to the sound of military band fanfares, The Caspian Post informs via Kyrgyz media.

Guard units placed the wreaths at the memorial, after which Japarov and Putin bowed their heads in silent respect. The ceremony concluded with a minute of silence in memory of those who perished during the Great Patriotic War, followed by a solemn three-volley salute.
