Kyrgyz, Uzbek FMs Pledge Stronger Trade, Transit Ties

Kyrgyz Foreign Minister Jeenbek Kulubaev and his Uzbek counterpart Bakhtiyor Saidov have emphasized the importance of coordinating efforts to ensure uninterrupted cargo transit and creating conditions for regional trade growth.

The ministers also discussed bilateral cooperation priorities, focusing on the development of international transport corridors and the optimization of border customs operations, The Caspian Post reports via Kyrgyz media.

They touched on the schedule of high-level visits in 2026, highlighting that meetings between heads of state further strengthen strategic partnership between the two countries.

At the conclusion of the conversation, both ministers confirmed their readiness for active political dialogue and continued collaboration.
