World Bank Sees Kyrgyz Economy Growing in 2026

Kyrgyzstan’s economy is expected to maintain strong momentum in 2026, with growth driven primarily by domestic demand, rising investment, and increased government spending.

Bakyt Dubashov, Senior Economist at the World Bank Group, said internal economic stimulus will remain the main engine of expansion, The Caspian Post reports via Kyrgyz media.

Private consumption, investment activity, and expanded public spending are all projected to play a key role in supporting growth.

“Our forecasts are based on the assumption that economic activity will be sustained by domestic factors,” Dubashov said. “In the real sector, growth will be driven by industry, construction, and services.”

The World Bank estimates that Kyrgyzstan’s economy could grow by around 6.5 per cent in 2026, signaling continued positive development and resilience despite external uncertainties. The outlook reflects confidence in the country’s internal economic dynamics and its capacity to sustain growth across key sectors.
