Talks centered on key infrastructure priorities, including the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway, the Kambarata HPP-1 hydropower project, the Barskoon-Bedel highway, and affordable housing initiatives. Kasymaliev underlined the country’s interest in attracting foreign investment to advance these large-scale projects.

Special focus was given to the Kambarata HPP-1 project, with Kasymaliev noting the completion of an updated feasibility study, the drafting of an environmental and social impact assessment, and preparations for an intergovernmental agreement.

Kasymaliev also expressed confidence that the expected visit of ADB President Masatsugu Asakawa to Kyrgyzstan in November would inject new momentum into bilateral cooperation.

Gutierrez, in turn, highlighted that the ADB has implemented numerous projects across different sectors in Kyrgyzstan over more than 30 years of partnership.
