Kyrgyzstan and Hungary Sign 2025 Action Plan for Customs Personnel Training

A meeting of the heads of customs services of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) took place in Budapest on April 15, according to the State Customs Service of the Kyrgyz Republic.

Chairman of the State Customs Service under the Ministry of Finance of Kyrgyzstan Almaz Saliev held talks with Deputy Commissioner for Customs and International Affairs of the National Tax and Customs Administration of Hungary Kristóf Péter Bakai, The Caspian Post reports citing Akipress.

The parties signed an action plan for 2025, developed within the framework of the Memorandum of Cooperation in personnel training. The State Customs Service noted that the memorandum was signed during the visit of Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán to Bishkek on November 5, 2024.

"The document provides for joint training programs, internships and knowledge exchange to improve the qualifications of customs officers," the State Customs Service reported.
