Kyrgyzstan, China Advance Collaboration in Science and Technology

The Kyrgyz Ministry of Science, Higher Education, and Innovation has said that the second meeting of the Kyrgyz-Chinese Commission on Scientific and Technological Cooperation was held in Cholpon-Ata.

During the session, the ministry signed a protocol and a memorandum of understanding with China’s Ministry of Science and Technology, The Caspian Post reports via Kyrgyz media.

These agreements are designed to deepen collaboration in science, technology, and innovation, promote new joint initiatives, and facilitate project implementation.

Kyrgyz Minister of Science and Higher Education Baktiyar Orozov emphasized the growing educational exchange between the countries, noting that over 4,200 Kyrgyz students study in China, while around 450 Chinese students are enrolled in Kyrgyz universities. He also highlighted plans to expand academic mobility, joint programs, and training for scientific and managerial personnel, including a new Chinese-led initiative to train technology transfer managers for SCO member states.
