Kyrgyzstan has earned a place among the safest countries in the world, according to the newly released 2025 Global Terrorism Index.
The country ranked 100th with a zero terrorism threat score - a strong indicator of stability and low security risks, The Caspian Post informs via Kyrgyz media.
Kyrgyzstan outperformed not only its regional neighbors - Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Tajikistan, Armenia, Türkiye, the UAE, China, and Russia - but also several Western nations, including the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, Germany and Spain.
Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan share the same ranking, placing them alongside Kyrgyzstan among the safest nations globally.
Meanwhile, the top 10 countries facing the highest levels of terrorism in 2025 include: Burkina Faso, Pakistan, Syria, Mali, Niger, Nigeria, Somalia, Israel, Afghanistan and Cameroon.
However, the report also highlights a concerning trend: the number of countries affected by terrorist attacks increased from 58 to 66 this year, signaling growing global instability despite improvements in certain regions.
