Kyrgyzstan Expands Air Links with China via Guangzhou Route

A major milestone for Kyrgyzstan’s aviation sector: China Southern Airlines has launched the first Guangzhou - Bishkek - Guangzhou flight, marking a new chapter in international connectivity.

The inaugural flight arrived at Manas International Airport with 134 passengers, while 104 passengers departed for the return trip to Guangzhou. The route will operate twice weekly, on Wednesdays and Sundays, The Caspian Post reports via Kyrgyz media.

The new route is expected to boost passenger and cargo transport, strengthen economic and humanitarian ties, and expand Kyrgyzstan’s international flight network.

“The launch of this flight is a key step in enhancing our international connectivity. We see strong potential for both passenger and cargo traffic on this route,” Aman Mamaev, Commercial Director of Airports of Kyrgyzstan OJSC stated.

China Southern Airlines already flies between Bishkek and Beijing six times a week, and Airports of Kyrgyzstan OJSC plans to further expand the country’s air network, attract new carriers, and improve passenger services.
